ENZO FERNANDEZ appeared to squash rumours linking him with a transfer to Chelsea, but it has not stopped Blues fans believing a transfer can be done.
After scoring in Benfica's 2-0 win against Varzim, Fernandez slapped the Benfica badge before pointing to the floor, insinuating his immediate future remained in Portugal.
However, fans were left unconvinced by the gesture.
One fan wrote: "That means his heart is here but he’s still leaving."
A second fan said: "Can't Fool Me Brah. You know where you belong… May take time, but you're coming home sooner or later…🔵😌"
A third argued: "There’s nothing to this. We’ve seen players do this and leave the following transfer window. I’m sure if someone triggers the clause he’ll be gone."

A fourth fan hypothesised: "My 5 cents on it: If Chelsea don’t get any short term options in midfield this window they’ll go all in at the end and get him."
Another wrote: "Hehee they all say the same thing before they are presented with a lucrative deal that they can't refuse."
Many other fans shared gifs of Romelu Lukaku, who did something similar before returning to Inter Milan on loan following an explosive interview in which he revealed he never wanted to leave Italy in the first place.
Some fans suggested the Blues will simply wait until the summer to make their move.
