Former PSG boss Unai Emery to hold talks with Arsenal as club look to name Arsene Wenger's successor

UNAI EMERY is reportedly in London to hold talks with Arsenal about the vacant manager's job.

The 46-year-old has emerged as a shock candidate to replace Arsene Wenger at the Emirates after stepping down as Paris Saint-Germain boss.

And the Spaniard appears to be wasting no time in his quest for a new adventure, as the Gunners look to name Wenger's successor.

Guillem Balague tweeted: "Unai Emery is in London to hold talks with Arsenal. Arteta is still a candidate."

Emery boasts an impressive CV, which includes three consecutive Europa League titles with Sevilla between 2014-2016.

And the success continued at PSG, where he guided Les Parisiens to a domestic treble this season, as well as two cup triumphs last campaign.

In a bigger shock, Emery has been rumoured to appoint leading candidate Arteta as his assistant manager.

According to the Express, the former Arsenal captain could be heading back to North London as the No 2 – the same role he has at Manchester City.
