WEST BALBOA (1.55 Newbury, nb)
He was second in the Grade 1 Challow Hurdle over course and distance on her latest start.
That was almost a year ago but trainer Dan Skelton is more than capable of getting them fit at home and she should be much better than this level.
AMARILLO SKY (3.40 Newbury, treble)
He went from the front when winning on comeback at Cheltenham last time.
He won a similar contest to this over course and distance last season and can cope with a 4lb rise for that last victory.

Templegate's ITV verdicts
NEWCASTLE
1.35
LORD ROCO won over hurdles here and showed promise on his chasing debut when second at Ayr earlier this month.
He shapes like this longer trip will suit and his handicap mark looks fair.
Son Of The Somme was right there jumping the last on his first taste of fences last time.
He tired up the run-in but should be a lot fitter for that experience and can improve.
Shantou Lucky is another who can take a step forward from his chase debut but he has a higher mark to contend with on this side of the Irish Sea.
Malinello is back from almost two years off so is entitled to need this. He’s had a wind op and a market move would be interesting.
Big Difference has more experience than these rivals but was only modest at Ludlow last time. He stays but needs to raise his game.
2.10
CONSTITUTION HILL won a good renewal of the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham by 22 lengths last time out in March.
He broke the clock there in putting up one of the best ever displays by a young hurdler.
That came after he won the Grade 1 Tolworth in testing ground so these conditions should be right up his street.
He looks the Champion Hurdler in waiting at this stage.
His stablemate Epatante has already won that prize and has two further placings in that Cheltenham highlight on her CV.
She gets a 7lb mares’ allowance and has taken this race for the past two years, including a dead-heat 12 months ago.
She’s high class and can make the rising star work but should come up short.
Not So Sleepy was the other half of that dead-heat and looks a fair price to hit the forecast spot although his form dipped last year.
3.25
L’HOMME PRESSE won five of his six starts last season, including the Grade 1 Scilly Isles and Sandown and the Brown Advisory at the Cheltenham Festival.
He finished with a third at Aintree after a long season. He sees out this trip well and can put himself right in the Gold Cup picture with a good run here.
Into Overdrive jumped beautifully when winning on comeback at Wetherby.
That was over 2m4f but he has winning form over this trip and could be ahead of the handicapper.
He gets lumps of weight from L’Homme Presse and won’t be far behind him.
Happygolucky is back from 595 days off so is likely to need this but has enough quality to win more races around this trip.
Aye Right won this last year from a 6lb lower mark and was a good second on return at Kelso.
Dingo Dollar needs further ideally but will be staying on up Newcastle’s straight and could run into the frame.
NEWBURY
1.20
KAPCORSE had no less than AP McCoy on board for a racecourse gallop last week and he can win this race for the second year running.
He was coming back from a long break last time and trainer Paul Nicholls says this is his target for the whole season.
Killer Kane needed his comeback run at Exeter and did well last year.
He’s only 2lb higher than when winning a decent Sandown contest in March so is a big threat.
Mister Coffey ran well without winning last season including when second in the Kim Muir at Cheltenham. He stays well and has run well here before.
Zanza is on a losing run but was back to form in second at Wetherby 14 days ago and can hit the frame at a big price.
Demachine goes well fresh and is only 4lb higher than his latest win at Uttoxeter.
1.55
WEST BALBOA was second in the Grade 1 Challow Hurdle over course and distance on her latest start.
That was almost a year ago but trainer Dan Skelton is more than capable of getting them fit at home and she should be much better than this level.
Petit Tonnerre returned with a close-up third at Aintree last month and has few miles on the clock. He stays and has more to come.
Peking Rose won that Liverpool race and a 3lb rise gives every chance of hitting the frame again.
Walking On Air won a novice contest easily before finding a Grade 1 too much at the Grand National meeting. He goes handicapping with a lot of potential.
Malakahna has improved on the Flat and progressed nicely over hurdles last season.
This longer trip should be ideal and she’s another threat in an open race.
Washington needed the run at Ascot and could be sharpened up by the headgear.
2.30
FIRST STREET was an excellent second in the County Hurdle on his last handicap run and, with a couple of confirmed front-runners in the field, he should get the strong pace he likes.
He was third at Graded level here in February and has gone well fresh.
Stablemate Theatre Glory has a 7lb claimer on board after winning a Listed contest at Cheltenham last time out in April. He’s up the weights but is still improving.
Parisencore dug deep to score on comeback at Wetherby and trainer Nicky Richards is in form.
He still looks ahead of the handicapper despite a 4lb rise.
Pikar was an easy novice winner at Chepstow and deserves this crack at a higher grade.
Similar comments apply to Teddy Blue who had 20 lengths in hand at Fontwell 22 days ago.
3.05
GERICAULT ROQUE ran well in some hot handicaps last season including when second in the Ultima at the Cheltenham Festival.
He had a pipe opener over hurdles at Aintree earlier this month and he ran well on his last visit to Newbury.
Threeunderthrufive has been running well in Graded races and is at home over this trip.
He has cheekpieces on for the first time and should be out of trouble up front. He has enough class to figure.
Our Power clocked a personal best when scoring at Ascot when he seemed at home over 3m. He’s up a fair 5lb and is on the shortlist.
Remastered was going like the winner until falling four out in this race last year.
He’s off a lower mark here and was impressive over hurdles last time.
Fiddlerontheroof is another who has done well in this before and is a danger.
3.40
AMARILLO SKY went from the front when winning on comeback at Cheltenham last time.
He won a similar contest to this over course and distance last season and can cope with a 4lb rise for that last victory.
Only Money landed a couple of minor wins before another decent effort at Aintree 21 days ago.
He has Tom Cannon back on board today which boosts his chances and he’s a danger.
Eclair D’Ainay has had a wind op ahead of this comeback and would appreciate more rain as he likes it testing.
This trip suits but he’s 11lb higher than his last success now.
Bun Doran won off this mark at Doncaster two starts ago and has place prospects if finding his best on comeback.
Monsieur Lecoq likes it here but took an early tumble at Ascot last time. He’s on a fair weight if that hasn’t left its mark.
