Juan Mata ‘refusing to rule out free transfer to join Man Utd’s Premier League rivals’ after quitting Old Trafford’

MANCHESTER UNITED outcast Juan Mata is considering a move to another Premier League team, according to reports.

The Spaniard, 34, is set to leave Old Trafford when his contract expires at the end of this month.

Since joining the Red Devils in 2014 he made 285 appearances and scored 51 goals.

But he has hardly featured in the squad this season.

While his next club is currently unknown, The Times have reported that he could be willing to stay in England.

And he is refusing to rule out a potential move to a Premier League rival.

Mata has previously been linked with a move back to Spain, with Barcelona reportedly interested.

However, the cash-strapped Catalan giants may struggle to cover his wages.

Real Sociedad are also said to be interested in the midfielder.

Mata follows Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard and Nemanja Matic who are also leaving the club for free this summer.
