Laura Woods leaves Sky Sports and lands new role as she replaces Dan Walker as host of The NFL Show after ITV move | The Sun

LAURA WOODS is set to become the new host of The NFL Show, which will air on ITV from September.

On Tuesday, The NFL announced a new three-year partnership with ITV, which will subsequently see all official coverage move away from BBC One and Two, where it has been broadcast since 2016.

The new-look show will include a new presenting line-up, with Dan Walker stepping down to make way for TalkSPORT breakfast host Woods, who is "thrilled" about the move

In a statement on the official NFL website, she said: "I've been a fan of the NFL for many years, so, with the new season just weeks away, I'm thrilled to be part of the team that will bring ITV viewers its best action and biggest stories each week."

Woods, who won Sports Presenter of the Year at the 2022 Sports Journalists Association awards, has left Sky Sports in order to take up the new role.

Former host Walker took to Twitter to reflect on the news, and to congratulate Woods on her appointment.

@NorthOneTV were great and @OsiUmenyiora and @JasonBell33 are two of the best people I have ever worked with. They are the life and soul of it… and that won’t change.

"I loved extra second spent with them both in and out of the studio. We’ll stay great friends and we’re proud of the awards the show won, the record viewing figures and stacks of lovely messages we got every week from the loyal NFL fans all over the UK.
