LEICESTER City have signed 22-year-old striker Fousseni Diabate from Gazelec Ajaccio for £1.75million.
The Malian striker has agreed a four-and-a-half year deal at the King Power Stadium.
Diabate has started all-but-one of his sides 20 matches this season, bagging three goals and one assist.
He was born in France, but represents Mali internationally, and has played for the Under-23s.
The versatile 22-year-old can deployed as a striker or a winger.
The Foxes have beaten off interest from a host of clubs to sign the exciting player, with Southampton, Wolfsburg and Rennes all believed to have been interested in signing him.
Speaking to French newspaper L'Equipe about the move Diabate said: "This autumn, I was disappointed that Rennes’ interest in me did not become concrete after there was a change at board level.
"But when my agent Yacine Ayad spoke to me about interest from Leicester, that immediately made me excited and today a dream is coming true.
