STEVEN GERRARD has revealed how he regularly taps up Jurgen Klopp for managerial advice.
Gerrard is currently in his second season as boss of Rangers and has the club pushing rivals Celtic for the title in Scotland.
But the former Liverpool star is still busy keeping touch with the boss at Anfield to ensure he gets all the guidance he needs to make a success of his career in the dugout.
Gerrard, who has long been thought of as a future Reds manager, told the Liverpool Echo: "We exchange messages quite a lot.
"I have said it before and I will say it again, he has been fantastic for me, even going back to when I had the first chat with him at the Academy.
"I thought about 'Am I doing the right thing? What would you do in my situation?'
"I asked him all these types of things and he has always been there to give me sound advice.
"We were messaging each other just a few days ago and obviously we've both had big weeks and weekends, so yes, he has been fantastic and I can't thank him enough really."
Klopp is not the only Liverpool boss Gerrard says he is learning from,
He also insists he has taken a bit from all the managers he played under during his brilliant playing career with the club.
He added: "I have tapped into them all, Rafa (Benitez), Brendan (Rodgers), Gerard Houllier, Roy Hodgson, all of them.
"Probably unknown to them but I have tried to tap into all of them and use it myself, and having that around what I do.
