Man Utd 18/1 outsiders to win the title in Erik ten Hag’s first season, and he’s just 6/1 to get sacked before Christmas

NEW Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag will hope to hit the ground running next season.

But bookmakers Betfair aren't entirely convinced the Dutchman will be capable of turning things around at Old Trafford.

The 52-year-old faces the sizeable task of rejuvenating the squad and eventually challenge for major honours.

The Red Devils haven't lifted the Premier League title since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013.

And Betfair think that wait will continue after pricing United as 18/1 outsiders to be crowned 2022-23 champions.

They are, however, optimistic that United can achieve a top four finish next season at 5/6.

They are offered at 7/4 to clinch a trophy, 33/1 to win two trophies and a colossal 300/1 to do the unthinkable and win the treble!

United have been fairly trigger-happy in recent years with the likes of David Moyes, Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer all hired and fired since 2013.

And Betfair think it's a 6/1 possibility that Ten Hag will leave before Christmas, or 4/1 to leave before the end of the season.

Betfair have also revealed the most likely signings this summer, which can be found HERE!

Sam Rosbottom of Betfair Exchange said: "One of Erik ten Hag's top objectives at Manchester United will be to get them back into the Champions League.

"And they're odds-on at 5/6 to achieve a top four finish next season under the new manager.

"The managerial hot seat at Old Trafford has seen a number of names come and go lately.

"And Ten Hag is 6/1 to vacate the building before Christmas and 4/1 to leave the club before the end of the season."
