The 25-year-old's latest double came in Sunday's 3-0 dismissal of Leicester at Old Trafford.

His 25th-minute opener came after a loose ball from Wout Faes was jumped on by Bruno Fernandes who threaded a ball through for Rashford to finish.

And, soon after the restart, he effectively killed the Foxes off when Fred played him in to slot the ball in under keeper Danny Ward.

After the game, Rashford posted a photo of himself alongside Luke Shaw and Victor Lindelof on Instagram with the caption '+3 points'.

It prompted a host of congratulatory messages from some of his 14.5 million followers.

United team-mates Casemiro, Lindelof and Marcel Sabitzer were some of the first to say well done.

And there was a great reply from retired France left-back Evra, 41, who won five Prem titles and the Champions League with the Red Devils.

He dubbed Rashford 'The Punisher' and added three flame emojis to his post.
