Man Utd next manager ODDS SLASHED – Ralf Rangnick set to be appointed Red Devils boss on six-month contract

MANCHESTER UNITED are set to appoint Ralf Rangnick as their new manager, reports claim.

And bookmakers Betfair have responded by slashing their odds on the German tactician taking the reins at Old Trafford from 10/3 to 1/25 over the last 10 minutes.

The Athletic claim Rangnick will sign on for six months as manager before moving into a consultancy role at the end of the campaign.

The deal is still subject to his current club Lokomotiv Moscow giving him the green-light to leave his position as head of sports and development.

However, United officials do NOT foresee any problems.

Michael Carrick, who won his first game as interim manager against Villarreal, will remain in charge for Sunday's clash with Chelsea.

Rangnick is still awaiting a work permit, meaning his debut as manager could be against Arsenal on December 2.
