Man Utd 'offer Jadon Sancho to Barcelona in swap transfer for former Premier League star' | The Sun

JADON SANCHO has been offered to Barcelona in a stunning transfer swap deal, according to reports.

Sancho has been exiled from the Manchester United squad since his public spat with Erik ten Hag in September.

The 23-year-old was exiled from senior team training after refusing to apologise to Ten Hag, who had originally criticised the winger for his training performance in the build up to their Arsenal clash.

But according to Spanish outlet Sport, Man Utd now want to swap Raphinha for Sancho.

Sport claim that Ten Hag has grown "fed up" with the Sancho saga, and he has proposed a swap deal with Barcelona to move him on.

Raphinha has had a stop start time at the Nou Camp, particularly in his first season.

The former Leeds star has scored two goals and added five assists in all competitions this season, starring in 15 games overall.

The 26-year-old played in Barcelona's 4-2 loss to shock La Liga title challengers Girona on Sunday.

Sport say the key to a deal could be convincing Barca sporting director Deco, who is also the Brazilian's former agent.

The Red Devils have previously been linked with a move for Raphinha when he was at Leeds and most recently in the 2023 January window.

SunSport exclusively revealed last week that Sancho has missed training a number of times since being banished to the club's academy training facilities.

However, he has not been fined for any of these absences because he has always had a reason for not turning up, sometimes citing illness.

Sancho is understood to be on full pay.

Ahead of Man Utd's 3-0 loss to Bournemouth on Saturday, Ten Hag reiterated that the ball is in Sancho's court if he wants to be reintegrated into the squad.

He said: "So it is about a culture and every player has to match certain standards and it was about that.

“What will happen there? He knows what he has to do if he wants to return. It is up to him.”
