Man Utd transfer news: Inter Milan lead Tottenham and West Ham in the race for Man Utd ace Martial as Lukaku replacement

MANCHESTER UNITED are ready to offload forward Anthony Martial.

And Inter Milan are leading a clutch of European heavyweights for his signature, according to bookmakers Betfair.

Speculation surrounding Martial's future at Old Trafford has been sparked by Romelu Lukaku's imminent return to Chelsea.

The Blues have agreed a deal worth £97.5million for the Belgian superstar, who is undergoing his medical.

But his departure leaves Inter Milan with the headache of locating a replacement capable of matching last season's tally of 30 goals in 44 appearances.

And SunSport understand United's Martial is high on their list of targets.

Inter plan to intensify their efforts for clinch the Frenchman's signature when Lukaku is officially unveiled as a Chelsea player.

The idea is to sign Martial on a season-long loan but United would want an obligation to buy for £50million included given his contract situation.

The 25-year-old has three years remaining on his current £200,000-a-week deal which expires in June 2024.

The two clubs have previously done business for Lukaku, Ashley Young and Alexis Sanchez and Betfair rate Inter's chances having priced them at 7/4 to complete a deal before September 3.

However, there's still plenty of competitions being tipped to challenge.

French duo Lyon and Lille are priced at 5/1 and 6/1 respectively with Borussia Dortmund further behind at 8s.
