    Vidic makes Woodward dig

Nemanja Vidic left former Manchester United teammate Rio Ferdinand in stitches.

That’s after aiming a cheeky dig at ex-Red Devils chief Ed Woodward.

When asked if he had any regrets at United, Vidic joked: “The only thing I have as a regret is that I didn’t have Ed Woodward in my time.”

This caused Ferdinand to burst out laughing, with Vidic adding: “Why are you laughing?”

Ferdinand answered: “Because of money. You’re talking money and contracts.”

The duo then high-fived, with Vidic continuing: “You know what I am talking about. But do I regret it?

But the FA announced earlier this month they would be taking no further action against Hatzidakis.

    Get Kane'd

Former Manchester United star Dion Dublin has urged the club to snub a move for Harry Kane and go for his England team-mate.

Dublin, who played 15 times for Man Utd, thinks that the club should instead go for Brentford captain Ivan Toney.

He insists that the 19-goal man will only improve if he joins the club and he suits Erik ten Hag's style.

However, Toney's betting breaches could prevent United making a move.

But according to 90min, this has not deterred scouts from continuing to monitor his progress.

It has previously been reported Leipzig could be bought out of the deal with a substantial enough transfer offer from another team such as Man Utd and Newcastle.

He is supposedly still on the radar of his former club and West Ham if United are willing to sell.

Shaw on Ten Hag's reaction to Sevilla loss

Shaw added: "He said, 'That's a team out there today' and he wasn't sure who or what was there on Thursday night – but obviously that wasn't acceptable.

Shaw on getting over Sevilla defeat

That shock 3-0 defeat at Sevilla as they exited the Europa League at the quarter-final stage last Thursday raised all the old questions about this team's failings as doom and gloom swept in.

Shaw said: "As players in the back of our mind that was there because, you know, at the start of this week, it was the biggest week of the season. There was no doubt about it.

"A massive game in the Europa League and then this. It will have defined our season.

"I think if we get knocked out of both of them, then you're right about the season looking different.

"I think a lot of people thought we would lose. But inside the dressing room we had the confidence."

Shaw hails Wembley penalty heroes Rashford and Sancho

Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford have been hailed for exorcising the ghosts of their Euros final nightmare, writes Neil Custis.

The brave Manchester United pair stepped up and scored in Sunday's tense 7-6 FA Cup semi-final penalty shootout victory over Brighton at Wembley.

Shaw, 27, said: "I was next to Jadon. I said, 'Whatever happens, happens – just be confident. It's part of football'.

"And I think maybe what was playing on their minds, are the things that come with it, the racism and stuff that they experienced last time.

"But they showed amazing confidence to step up and because the last time they took one in a shootout it was, of course, here and the memories of that.

"But I'm really happy for both of them to put themselves forward and take really good penalties."

    Good morning Man Utd fans

Manchester United have made preliminary moves to sign Harry Kane this summer.

The Spurs hitman has been on the club's radar for several years, although no official approach has ever been made.

Tottenham chief Daniel Levy, meanwhile, is said to be willing to sell Kane to a Premier League rival for a staggering £100million.

That's according to The Daily Telegraph, who claim Spurs will part company with Kane for £80m if a European club come calling.

Bruno Fernandes' wife has given United fans a scare by posting a snap of the midfielder wearing a protective boot to her Instagram story.

The story included a gif on the snap, which said: "Recharging."

"And the one thing you can say is, I agree with you, they have got the right man now.”
