MANCHESTER UNITED are in the race to sign the free agent Paulo Dybala, but Inter Milan remain the odds on favourites.

The Argentina international's contract at Juventus expired last month, so the forward is available for free.

Dybala spent seven trophy-laden years with Juventus, winning five league titles and four Italian Cups.

The Argentine signed from Palermo as a 21-year-old in 2015 for £37m, and made just shy of 300 appearances for the Old Lady, scoring 115 goals.

The 28-year-old bagged 15 goals and six assists in his 31 starts for the Turin club last season.

Sky Bet are offering odds of 10/1 for Dybala to sign for Manchester United this summer, the shortest odds out of the Premier League teams.

However there are three Serie A clubs with shorter odds, including Inter Milan who are odds on favourites at 4/6. AC Milan and Napoli are both priced at 6/1.

With Cristiano Ronaldo's announcement that he wishes to leave Old Trafford this summer, and Anthony Martial also being linked with an exit, United are looking short in the striker department.

Edinson Cavani also exited the club at the end of June and with Dybala able to play anywhere in the attacking positions, his versatility and experience could tempt new United boss Erik ten Hag into offering him a deal.

Arsenal are also rumoured to have shown an interest in the attacker, but with Sky Bet pricing the move at 25/1, it seems there are a lot of teams with a better chance of signing the 28-year-old.

The Gunners have also already signed Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City and Fabio Vieira from Porto this summer, two players that play in positions Dybala can operate in so it's unlikely Mikel Arteta will be too desperate to secure his signature.

Atletico Madrid and Roma are both 16/1 to sign Dybala, with Real Madrid and Sevilla at 20/1 – PSG are slightly behind in the race at 22/1.

Along with Arsenal, Newcastle and Tottenham are also priced at 25/1.

Liverpool (28/1), Chelsea and Manchester City (both 33/1) are the other Premier League clubs that are in with a small shout.
