JOSE MOURINHO is favourite for the Paris Saint-Germain job.

That's according to bookmakers Betfair, who've installed the legendary Portuguese manager at 5/4 to replace Christophe Galtier at the Parc des Princes.

Reports suggest PSG are likely to relieve Christophe Galtier of his duties at the end of the campaign.

The Frenchman, 56, took over from Mauricio Pochettino in July 2022 but was unable to lead the club to ultimate glory in the Champions League, which still remains elusive.

A 3-0 aggregate defeat to Bayern Munich saw PSG crash out of the competition in the round of 16, while Marseille beat them in the Coupe de France.

The Ligue 1 title is their only chance of silverware this season, and historically that's not been enough to keep your position with the Parisian heavyweights.

But who could be next to attempt it?

Bookies Betfair think Jose Mourinho is the leading candidate to swap Rome for Paris later this summer.

The former Porto, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Inter Milan boss has won the Champions League twice and is available at 5/4 to replace Galtier.

However, that price could soon drift after the boss laughed off reports that Paris Saint-Germain have contacted him.

He said: "If they called, they didn’t find me, I’ve never spoken to them."

Bologna manager Thiago Motta is next in the market at 2/1 and knows the club better than most having made over 230 appearances between 2012-2018.

Julian Nagelsmann is next at 3/1 although it's unclear whether the highly-rated German will accept the vacant position at Tottenham instead.

There are four other managers in contention, and all are former PSG bosses. Mauricio Pochettino is offered at 20/1, ahead of 25/1 chance Thomas Tuchel.

Unai Emery and Carlo Ancelotti are locked together at 33/1.
