EVERTON flop Sandro Ramirez hoped his fortunes were on the up after joining Real Sociedad on loan – but already he has gone to the bottom of the grass.
The Spanish striker caught his foot on a dodgy home pitch as he prepared to shoot against Sevilla and was sent spinning in the air like a Catherine wheel.
Social media was quick to ridicule the 23-year-old's accidental acrobatics – after he twisted upside down in the air.
Ramirez had burst through and seemed a split-second away from firing the only goal of the home La Liga draw.
But when he pulled his right foot back to shoot, he trapped his toes on the turf like a pantomime ballerina – and was sent flying spectacularly.
One of the kinder tweets demanded: "Red card for the grass."
But other fans labelled Ramirez a "clown" and were delighted the Toffees offloaded him.
One said: "How the hell did we ever think he was Prem quality 😳"
Another supporter claimed Ramirez's tumble deserved a special award from the referee.
Showing pitch-black humour, he insisted: "I saw at least three pens there."
But more typical responses to Ramirez's red-faced moment included: "Gets funner every time I see it" and "I laughed out loud."
All in all, Sunday night was a big pain in the grass for the former Under-21 international.
