MAURIZIO SARRI has dismissed criticism of his Chelsea tactics as a “false problem” – even though the Italian is fighting for his job.
The Blues face Malmo in the Europa League tomorrow followed by Sunday’s Carabao Cup final – and he could be sacked by the time his team face Spurs on Wednesday.
Sarri, slammed for his rigid formations and predictable substitutions, said: “The system is a false problem.
"I know very well that, when we are losing, I have to put a striker on the pitch.
"When we are winning, I have to put a defender on the pitch. But I want to see the football in another way.”
Chelsea were rocked by the 2-0 FA Cup loss to Manchester United on Monday which came eight days after the 6-0 battering by Manchester City in the Premier League.
Sandwiched between those games was the 2-1 first leg win at Malmo.
Quizzed about the situation, Sarri added: “As you know very well, it's not very easy because we have no time. But we are trying to solve our problems. It's not easy.
“Because, on the pitch, we have no time at the moment.
"But we are trying to talk with the players. We are trying to avoid some mistakes by video.

9"But it's not easy because we have to play every three days. On the pitch, we have no time.”
Chelsea also have injury problems ahead of the home clash against the Swedes.
Sarri said: “We have some problems at the moment. Zappacosta has a fever, and Pedro with a very strong stomach ache. Kepa has a hamstring problem.”
Pressed whether keeper Kepa could be fit for Sunday’s final at Wembley, Sarri added: “I hope so. I'm not sure at the moment, of course, but I hope so.”
