OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER says it will be a ‘shock’ if Manchester United win at Anfield.
Despite going there with a three point lead over Liverpool at the top of the table, no fans in the stadium and a superb Premier League away record, the Red Devils boss still believes they are underdogs.
Solskjaer said: “If you look at the last few seasons, it would be an upset, it would be a shock.
"Our position at the moment is a product of all the hard work we've done in the training ground and what the players are putting down every single day and we probably deserve to be where we're at at the moment.
“But if you look back six weeks I don’t think many would have thought it would be anything but an upset.
“We're the challengers, they're the champions, we're challengers and the hunters.
“We want something they have, our mentality will be to work hard, be humble, do our best and see what we can get out of the game.
“Everyone wants to be where they are, everyone wants to be the champion and beat them.
“They've earned the right to be looked up to, they’ve played fantastic football and got fantastic results in the last three or four years and with that knowledge we have to play to our best to get a result.
“We are really looking forward to it because we're in good form at the moment.”

While Liverpool have stuttered of late taking just two points from their last nine they remain unbeaten at home in the league since April 2017.
So is that a bubble United can burst?
After all, their Prem away record this season is almost identical to the Reds' home record.
Solskjaer said: “I think every team goes into every game thinking they're going to win it and we know we can beat anyone anywhere on any given day and go into a game like this feeling if we play to our best we can win.
“They've got an amazing record at Anfield in the league, they haven't lost their for many, many years, it's a great test for us – can we go there and cause an upset?
“It's a test and reality check of where we're at. We have won many games, many tight games, scored goals in injury time. We have not really set the world alight too many times and to win at Anfield you need to be at your best level.
“We need that extra edge, we have to be humble and fight for every inch of grass, any little detail can decide these games.”
United have not lost on the road in the league since they went to Anfield and were defeated 2-0 a year ago.
Solskjaer added: “We're a much better side now than a year ago.
“We lost that game to a Virgil Van Dijk header from a corner and a counter attack from the last kick of the game from our corner, we weren't a million miles away.”
Solskjaer says he will make a late decision on Anthony Martial who limped out of their last game away to Burnley after pulling his hamstring.
