Watch 56-year-old Mike Tyson roll back years in sparring by landing brutal body shots and showing off slick defence | The Sun

MIKE TYSON rolled back the clock in sparring footage as he showed off brutal body shots and slick defence.

The 56-year-old heavyweight legend is still in sensational shape while regularly training.

Unfortunately for his coach Rafael Cordeiro, that means being on the receiving end of Tyson's famously spiteful punches.

In a recent clip uploaded online, Cordeiro is seen wearing a headguard and body belt in the ring with Iron Mike.

And Tyson unleashes some trademark body hooks while bobbing and weaving – in shades of his iconic best.

In November 2020, he made a sensational boxing comeback and drew with Roy Jones Jr, 53, over eight exhibition rounds.

Jake Paul reveals shock reason boxing legend Mike Tyson is avoiding him

But despite several fight rumours, Tyson is yet to make another return.

That is despite being linked with YouTuber-turned boxer Jake Paul, 25, who is 5-0 in the ring himself.

Tyson is open to sensationally fighting Paul – but warned it must happen this year.

He said on Jimmy Kimmel: "Anything is possible, it's got to happen this year, got to happen this year."

Tyson added: "I've never taken it very serious but that could be really interesting.

"He's skilled enough yes, I'm going to give it to him, he's skilled enough because he keeps winning.

"Even if he's fighting guys you don't believe are good enough fighters, they should be able to beat him, but they can't.

"So he's beating people who really he shouldn't really be beating, we've got to give him that credit.

"He's beating people that he should not really be beating and he's doing good, man."
