Watch AFL legend Barry Hall HEADBUTT 'nervous' Sonny Bill Williams at weigh in ahead of boxing fight

BARRY HALL and Sonny Bill Williams' weigh-in ahead of their upcoming boxing fight got intense.

Australian rules football legend Hall almost sparked a melee when he headbutted former New Zealand rugby star Williams.

The two heavyweights came nose to nose and that is when the AFL great forcefully pushed his head against his opponent's face.

A member of the 45-year-old's team was heard saying gleefully afterwards that "Sonny didn't know what to do".

The two sports stars are set to face off in a boxing match on Wednesday at Aware Super Theatre in Sydney.

Williams has admitted that he is "nervous" before his ninth professional fight "but for me it's a sign that I'm ready to go".

Hall played down the considerable weight gap and said: "It's fact.

"The press conference yesterday, there was an illustrious line-up [alongside Williams], all the names written down, I had two people with me.
