And she made the perfect start to her new venture with a no-nonsense, dominant first round stoppage of Valentina Garcia.

An electric start saw Serrano frequently tag her opponent with spiteful punches to the head.

She then quickly got Garcia into a guillotine choke and needed just one minute to finish the job.

After her victory, she tweeted: "60 second Submission! Low kicks, plenty of punches & a Standing Guillotine."

Reacting to her win, one fan said: "OMG!! THAT IS A LETHAL MOVE CHAMP! You are the first fighter I've ever seen do that an have so much success.

Serrano is currently No3 on The Ring magazine's pound-for-pound rankings, below only Katie Taylor and Claressa Shields.

She was heavily linked with a fight against undisputed lightweight champion Taylor last year before talks broke down.

Speaking about Taylor last year when the two were due to fight, Serrano said: "There's nothing really to her. She's not no superhero like everyone paints her to be.

"She has the gold medal from the Olympics and she has a great promoter pushing her. Everybody knows who she is because of Matchroom Boxing and putting her on DAZN.

"I believe it will be one of the best [fights]. We have the seven division world champion, I'm currently the featherweight champion, and then she's the undisputed champion."

Serrano's boxing record consists of 40 wins, one draw and one defeat and she is currently on a run of 26 victories in a row.

You have to look back to April 2012 when she was beaten by Frida Wallberg as the last time Serrano failed to win in the ring.
