West Ham transfer news: The Hammers chasing Real Madrid woinderkid Martin Odegaard on loan

WEST HAM are looking at securing a loan deal for Real Madrid wonderkid Martin Odegaard.

According to Squaka, the Norwegian, 17, is being offered to clubs in Europe to get him playing regular first-team football.

Liverpool are another club looking at taking Odegaard as the midfielder's parents are set for a meeting with Real officials to discuss his future.

But east London is the most likely destination for Odegaard after they lost Manuel Lanzini for five weeks after suffering a knee injury.

The youngster spent a short time on Merseyside in 2014 as he decided on his future but his wages are looking like a stumbling block.

The Reds are unwilling to pay his £80,000-a-week deal with Real keen to ship him out on a two-year deal without the option to buy at the end of it.
