ANTHONY GORDON has successfully completed his switch from Everton to Newcastle – but fans will have to be patient as his debut has been delayed.
Newcastle was forced to pay £45million to secure the services of Gordon.
And the English winger revealed that he was immediately convinced the Magpies was the next best step for him.
But Gordon will be unavailable for Newcastle's Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Southampton and SunSport can explain why.
Why isn't Anthony Gordon playing for Newcastle against Southampton?
Anthony Gordon is cup-tied for Newcastle's huge semi-final against Southampton having already represented Everton earlier on in the competition.
So as a result, Gordon's expected debut will take place on Saturday, February 4 when the Magpies take on West Ham.

What has been said?
Gordon opened up on his feeling about signing for Newcastle.
The young star said: "Since I heard of the interest, I was always convinced Newcastle were for me.
"I think the fan base and the city really suits me as a person, the way the team are playing under the gaffer at the minute really suits me, and the club just look like they're heading in the right direction.
