WWE star Roxanne Perez stretchered out of ring after collapsing with exhaustion leaving NXT viewers in shock | The Sun

WWE fans were left in shock after Roxanne Perez collapsed in the ring and needed to be stretchered out.

Perez retained the NXT Women's Championship against Meiko Satomura in the main event of NXT Roadblock on Tuesday at the WWE Performance Center.



The two women put together a stunning display but it took a massive toll on the Prodigy who went crashing down the mat after the bell due to exhaustion

WWE medics and referees rushed to the ring to check on the fallen champion.

Hall of Famer Booker T also left the commentary desk and climbed through the ropes to help his former pupil.

Senior Vice President of Talent Development and Creative Shawn Michaels also rushed to ringside while the shocked crowd watched in silence.

Satomura, who raised her opponent's hand after their match, remained in the ring and looked very concerned.

The audience then gave Perez a standing ovation as she was being stretchered out to an ambulance backstage.

WWE then confirmed that the American grappler would be kept overnight in the hospital for observation and continued testing.

The WWE Universe took to social media immediately after to wish the NXT star a quick recovery.
