ARSENAL are now the odds on favourites in the race to sign Leicester's midfield star Youri Tielemans.

Sky Bet have slashed the odds of the Belgian moving to the Emirates Stadium to 8/11, ahead of the likes of both Manchester sides and Tottenham among other Premier League clubs.

The central midfielder has just a year remaining on his contract at theKing Power stadium, and it seems the Belgian is unlikely to want to sign a new deal with the Foxes.

This may force the club into selling him this summer, rather than letting him depart for free upon the expiration of his contract.

Tielemans has spent the last three and a half years at Leicester, after initially signing on loan from Monaco, before making the move permanent in the summer of 2019 for a club-record £41m fee.

The 25-year-old has made 154 appearances for the club, and is perhaps most fondly remembered for scoring the winning goal in last year's FA Cup final, the club's first time lifting the trophy in their history.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta will be looking for a midfield partner for Thomas Partey over the summer transfer window, with Tielemans deemed to be an upgrade over Granit Xhaka and fellow countryman Albert Sambi Lokonga.

Manchester United are still in with a chance of signing Tielemans, with the impending departures of Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic resulting in a shortage of central midfielders for Erik ten Hag's new side.

Donny van de Beek and Andreas Pereira will be returning from their loan spells, but Tielemans would likely slot straight into the starting XI should he sign.

Manchester City have been linked with a potential move for the Belgian, with Fernandinho having left the club this summer and the future of Ilkay Gundogan being uncertain at the moment.

Should the Germany international also depart, it would leave just Rodri as City's out and out central midfielder, which could lead to Pep Guardiola dipping into the transfer market again.

There have also been rumours of Antonio Conte lining up a bid for the Belgium midfielder.

Tottenham are priced at 10/1 to sign Tielemans with Sky Bet this summer, and though he would likely slot into the first team, Spurs have a lot of central midfielders on their books as things stand.

Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso and Pape Sarr are all returning from loans this summer so they may have to sell a central midfielder or two before they can buy one.
