There is tension aplenty when April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) is involved in a showdown with bully Marshall, and things go from bad to worse when she punches him!

Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) is shocked, and she wastes little time in pointing the finger at Naomi Walters (Karene Peter), who she reckons is becoming a bad influence on April. In fact, Rhona confronts Naomi, and a physical altercation ensues, with Marlon (Mark Charnock) taking Naomi’s side!

Oh dear.

Elsewhere, there are questions aplenty when Moira (Natalie J Robb), Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson), Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) and Matty Barton (Ash Pamisciano) are quizzed by the police in relation to Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn).

They all stick to their story, before regrouping at Butlers to discuss the situation. Moira is anxious about Caleb’s (Will Ash) involvement in the whole thing, and she and Amy question the newcomer’s methods.

Kyle, meanwhile, reaffirms to the police that he is to blame for Al Chapman’s (Michael Wildman) death, while Cain (Jeff Hordley) arranges to speak with Moira for the first time since their falling out.

And there is horror aplenty when word of Chloe Harris’ (Jessie Ealland) collapse reaches the village, and Mack accompanies Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) and Charity (Emma Atkins) to the hospital.

Stealing a moment alone, Mackenzie promises Chloe that he will support her and the baby in whatever way he can.

Sarah, meanwhile, plots to have Chloe move in with them! Charity won’t take no for answer, and soon enough, she agrees, leaving Mack determined to oust her.

Emmerdale airs these scenes w/c Monday January 9 on ITV.
