Alfie rocked to the core as young son Tommy violently attacks him in EastEnders

Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) was left horrified in recent EastEnders scenes which saw son Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) violently attack him.

Tensions began to rise between Tommy and Alfie after it became clear that Alfie wasn’t impressed that Tommy had told Freddie who his real dad was.

When Alfie sat Tommy down to explain how his actions had caused a lot of heartache for the Slaters, Tommy insisted that Freddie had a right to know, and likened the secret to Alfie not telling Tommy that he wasn’t his biological dad.

It was then that Tommy headed out to meet his friends, leaving Alfie concerned about his whereabouts.

He was soon able to track him down in the park and, much to Tommy’s embarrassment, lectured him on answering his phone.

When he told Tommy what time he expected him home, the other kids took the mick. Clearly trying not to embarrass his son, Alfie was willing to be lenient, until he realised that he had been drinking.

He demanded that Tommy follow him home then and there, and soon a huge argument erupted between the pair, with Tommy blaming his behaviour on Alfie’s absence through his childhood.

Later, Alfie apologised to Tommy for embarrassing him, and for not being around much while he was growing up.

However, as he attempted to make it up to him, Tommy got distracted by a post on social media.

When Tommy opened the video, he realised that someone had filmed his altercation with Alfie at the park and posted it online, leaving him feeling totally humiliated.

As Alfie tried to calm him down, Tommy turned violent, and ended up punching him in the stomach, leaving Alfie doubled over in pain.

Is Tommy’s behaviour growing out of control?
