Bake Off’s Noel Fielding left reeling over death of 'fun loving' celebrity hairdresser pal as GoFundMe raises over £85k

NOEL Fielding has been left heartbroken over the tragic death of his friend Lyndell Mansfield following a brain haemorrhage.

The devastated Bake Off presenter took to Instagram today and paid tribute to the "fun loving Aussie" who travelled the world as a celebrity hairdresser.

Emotional Noel, 48, shared a gallery of photos and fond memories of Lyndell, also known as Pinky Lee, and said: "Dearest Lyndell I’m Gonna miss dancing with you and dressing up with you and laughing with you and eating Taco’s with you and drinking cocktails with you and putting on make up with you.

"Hanging out with you and Thomas was always magic time. like kids playing. Your energy was unbeatable a complete force of nature. I suspect you were not even human. Maybe you were an Alien sent here from another dimension to teach us all how to have fun.

"I bet you are already with Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix and Freddie Mercury having a blast and cackling around some kind of glittery dance floor. Gonna miss your spirit but most of all i’m gonna miss your kindness you strange witchy magical creature.

"I never heard you moan or ever say you were tired. Not once. My heart goes out to everyone who loved you. That’s most of london and your family and close friends."

The dad-of-two went on: "But most of all my heart goes out to Thomas your true love. Inseparable best friends and absolute soul mates.

"You have left us all reeling Pinky Lee rest in peace lovely and I’ll see you in the next life. Put me on the guest list. x x x ps your haircuts weren’t half bad either 😉 x x."

A GoFundMe page was set up to help Lyndell's family travel from Australia to the UK to be by her side after she was admitted to hospital last week.

Her friend Donna shared: "Hi there, my name is Donna and I am one of the many to have been devastated by the news that our most vibrant friend Lyndell Mansfield is currently on life support in a London hospital after suffering a brain haemorrhage then three cardiac arrests whilst receiving care.

"Lyndell is a fun loving Aussie who loves to travel and always makes friends wherever she goes. Her hairdressing career has taken her on tour around the world to put her highly sort after skills to work on many high profile models, musicians and actors.

"We are trying to raise money to fly Lyndell’s family over from Australia to London to be with her in this crucial time.

"Lyndell’s Mum and Dad, Vivienne and Barry and all her friends would be sincerely grateful for any support to help make this trip happen, we all know how much she loves her Mum and Dad.

"No matter how great or how small the donation, every cent helps.

"With great appreciation, thank you. Donna❤️"

Lyndell is survived by her partner Tom, parents, Vivian and Barry and her "many friends from around the globe."

Donations to the hairdresser's GoFundMe page surpassed £85,000 today and Donna said the proceeds will be used to organise flights and transport, a funeral to celebrate the life of Lyndell and enable her family to bring her home to Australia.
