Sally Nugent tells correspondent to get to safety
BBC Breakfast host Sally Nugent cut her interview with Lyse Doucet after the correspondent was forced to move live on air.
During their chat, the 52-year-old asked whether or not she felt as though there was an escalation coming from the Israeli side where she was.
The correspondent told the BBC star there was an intensification of security in the zone of Ashkelon, a city in the southern district of Israel.
Behind Lyse, viewers saw Israeli soldiers as she informed people watching that the area was a closed military zone.
She said: “Gaza is just down this road, about three miles away. You possibly can see in the distance the plume of smoke.

“Sometimes there’s a wall of black smoke rising from Gaza.”
The correspondent told Sally the area they were in was very active, although the position was on the edge of the closed military area.
However, as Lyse was speaking to the BBC host back in the studio, viewers heard a man shouting at her from behind the camera.
Stopping in the middle of her sentence, the correspondent said: “Sorry, I think we’re being told- I’m going to keep recording.”

Viewers saw the camera then change from its stationary position as it started to move, following Lyse as she continued to speak.
She continued: “We’re going to move now, a little bit safe away.
“We’ve been told we’re going to move away, we can see the black smoke rising there.
“They’re worried that there possibly could be some mortars landing in this area, so as a precaution, we’re just going to move a little bit away so we’re in a safer area.”
Lyse told Sally the situation was very unpredictable as she continued to move away from where she started the broadcast.
Sally replied: “Lyse, thank you so much for that but we are going to let you and the crew get to safety as quickly as possible. Thank you very much.”
BBC Breakfast continues weekdays on BBC One from 6am
