BGT viewers ‘work out’ celeb behind Mr Blobby act as Simon Cowell left fuming

Britain's Got Talent viewers believe David Walliams returned to the show during the latest episode of the ITV show.

Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli were back trying to find the next big variety act on Saturday (May 6) night.

However, things took a bizarre turn when 90s legend Mr Blobby took to the stage to perform a magic act.

The iconic dotted pink and yellow character first hit screens in the early 1990s in a show called Noel's House Party with Noel Edmonds.

He hasn't been seen on television for some time, but he was as rebellious as ever during his Britain's Got Talent audition.

Most of the judges were thrilled to see him cause destruction, apart from Simon.

Mr Blobby managed to convince Simon to join him on stage as part of his act.

Simon agreed after some hesitation and was instructed sat inside a box.

He was later covered in pink slime leaving his fellow judges in fits of laughter.

As Simon fumed, viewers at home were left wondering who could be responsible for bringing back Mr Blobby.

One fan guessed: "Mr Blobby was definitely David Walliams #BGT2023 #BritainsGotTalent."

Another added: "Mr Blobby David Walliams in disguise? #bgt #bgt2023 #BritainsGotTalent."

A third agreed: "I bet mr blobby on @BGT is @davidwalliams#BGT #BritainsGotTalent."

"'Now take your Mr Blobby head off and reveal yourself David Walliams' #BGT" someone else said.

"That’s so @davidwalliams in the Blobby costume. #BGT," a fifth person wrote.

Simon was forced to go behind the scenes to get cleared up after being gunged on stage.

However, he managed to get his own back by chancing a giggling Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly for a hug while still covered in the slime.

Unfortunately, Mr Blobby wasn't put through to the next round as he was given four red buzzers by the judges.

Fans will have to wait and see if Mr Blobby reveals his true identity.
