Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) and Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) haven’t been able to keep their hands off each other recently in Emmerdale. Despite insisting that she doesn’t want to break up with Bob (Tony Audenshaw), nurse Wendy hasn’t been able to resist enjoying stolen moments with GP and part-time crime writer Liam.
Meanwhile Bob has remained oblivious of all this. He’s been slightly distracted by Bernice (Samantha Giles), who has been growing increasingly attracted to him. While this is to some extent mutual, Bob has been trying to focus his attention on making Wendy happy by buying her gifts and getting involved in shared hobbies, like bird watching.
Poor Bob. And worse is to come as his world is about to come tumbling down when he discovers what Wendy has been up to behind his back.

In upcoming episodes Liam surprises Wendy with a night away. She feels guilty about Bob, but can’t resist and lets him know she’s going to be away.
Bernice, meanwhile, has been doing some detective work and she shocks Bob by telling him she’s pretty sure that Wendy and Liam have been having an affair for some time. Bob doesn’t believe her, but a chat with Bear (Joshua Richards) soon makes him suspicious as Bear – who shares a house with Liam – says he thinks the GP is seeing someone.
Bob rings the hotel, and his fears are confirmed as he learns that Liam and Wendy are there together. Bernice is devastated on his behalf, but Bob is inconsolable.
At the hotel, meanwhile, things have taken a twist. Wendy has finally realised that what she’s doing is wrong, and not what she wants. She tells Liam that their affair is over and heads off to sleep in a separate bedroom.
And in yet another twist, back at the B&B Bob, thinking he doesn’t owe any loyalty to Wendy, is very tempted to sleep with Bernice.
Will Bob give in to temptation? If he does, will he regret it? And will he be able to forgive Wendy?
