Speaking recently to Express.co.uk the cast of Call the Midwife opened up on the moments that made them emotional with Fred Buckle star Cliff Parisi explaining one particular scene sticks in his mind which made him “cry” at the time.
“The most horrific episode for me, actually made me cry it was a small boy and he had scabies and malnutrition and he was neglected, clearly,” he remarked.
The actor added: “His mother was on the game and she had this little baby and he used to look after the baby when the mum went out to work and he got locked out and he had to pour the milk through the letterbox for the child.
“And that really upset me. There have been some fantastic stories.”
Sister Julienne star Jenny Agutter also detailed a harrowing moment that made her emotional.
Recalling the episode, she remarked: “The young girl who was giving birth to a baby in one of these buildings.”
