Pablo Schreiber plays Allan Gore in the Candy cast on Hulu. Although he has an extensive filmography, viewers probably recognize him from Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black. Schreiber portrayed correctional officer George ‘Pornstache’ Mendez, who had a relationship with Dayanara “Daya” Diaz (Dascha Polanco). As a Litchfield Penitentiary prison guard, he was corrupt and sexually abusive to the inmates. He’s recognized early on for his unforgettable mustache, but he grows a beard and a mullet in later seasons. 

“I try not to compare myself to other people, so I’d have to compare it to myself and my own historic mustaches,” he told GQ when asked to rate Allan’s mustache. “I’d rate it as the top Pablo mustache ever, and that’s going above Pornstache, only because for Allan Gore: that was just a completely self-generated mustache, whereas Pornstache was a glue-on. Here I am at the delicate age of 44, finally able to grow my own mustache without embarrassment. Life is a process, and we’re just getting better on our own. Number one. Number one for me.”

Candy premieres on Hulu Monday, May 9, with the release of only the first episode at 9 p.m. PT/midnight ET. The remaining four Candy episodes drop every day following the premiere, with the finale dropping on Friday, May 13.
