There is trouble on the way for Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) in Emmerdale as she comes face to face with Marcus Dean (Darcy Grey) – son of Pierce Harris, the man who made Rhona’s life a living hell a few years ago.
When a man approaches Rhona and hands over a letter, she is thrown to discover the letter is from Pierce.
As she reads the contents, she learns Pierce is dying in prison and wants to find his son.
After a lot of debating, Rhona eventually decides to help Pierce and, after Ryan (James Moore) finds Marcus’ phone number, she gives him a call.
Throughout this ordeal, Rhona decides to keep it a secret form Marlon (Mark Charnock), convinced she’s protecting her partner.
‘He was in prison, so she is just shielding him from it’, Zoe Henry explains.
‘She considers telling him, she knows it’s the right thing to do but he’s got enough going on with the pub and everything.’
However, this secret keeping looks set to be the start of a difficult year for Rhona and the Dingles, as Zoe recently teased:
‘There’s something catastrophic which is going to happen in the Dingle Goskirk household and I don’t think Marlon and Rhona’s worlds will be the same again.’
