Celebrity MasterChef 2022: Lisa Snowdon crowned as the winner
Hosts John Torode and Gregg Wallace will be putting a fresh batch of celebrities through their paces when Celebrity MasterChef returns to BBC One this month.
One reality star taking part in the 2023 version of the cooking show is former Love Island winner Dani Dyer who rose to fame after appearing on the ITV2 series in 2018.
Ahead of her Celebrity MasterChef debut, Dani, 26, admitted she was fearful of meeting hosts John and Gregg.
“I was scared of meeting them but they’re so lovely, they were so warm,” Dani explained.
“I walked in and my heart was pounding out my chest but they’re really friendly, so it puts you at ease a little bit.”

When asked what it was like walking into the MasterChef kitchen, Dani admitted: “I was shaking walking into that kitchen.
“We were all standing there going, ‘Who’s going in first, who’s going in first?’ No one wanted to walk in first but that moment of walking in was just… Oh my God, it was so scary.”
The star said she took loads of deep breaths adding: “You can’t take it too seriously, can you? You’ve just got to laugh. If in doubt, laugh.”

Dani will be appearing on the show alongside Inbetweeners actor James Buckley, comedian Marcus Brigstocke, Gogglebox legend Mica Ven and radio star Richie Anderson.
But which celebrity will take home the crown following a six-week battle in the kitchen?
Last year, presenter Lisa Snowden was the winner of Celebrity MasterChef after knocking out stiff competition.
Lisa was handed the trophy after beating McFly’s Danny Jones and All Saints’ star Mel Blatt in the finale.
Lisa said the competition had been “life-changing” in an emotional speech following her victory.
She shared: “It’s such a life-changing experience. I feel like this isn’t real! I just can’t believe it.
“I couldn’t have wanted to win something that meant more to me than this. I am on cloud nine. I love it.”
Celebrity MasterChef 2023 begins at 9pm on Wednesday August 2 on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
