A TV star pulled out of the next series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins because they feared they’d end up battered to bits – like Jennifer Ellison.
The well-known female – whose identity is being kept hush-hush – is best mates with the former Brookside star.
The Scouser is currently on our screens braving gruelling challenges in the Channel 4 show.

But when she ended up with two broken ribs, a bruised and bleeding spleen and an infection on her lungs at the end of her stint, it was all too much.
The pal claimed she could not risk ending up in hospital and putting her career on the line, with Jennifer revealing: “I was talking to my friend and she had been asked to do the show.
“She was like, ‘I actually rely on my bones and my body to work for my next job, I don’t think I should do it’.
“People say this show isn’t real. Oh, my God, it’s real.”
On Sunday (October 2) we will see Jennifer face the Murder Ball challenge, where she is pounced on by boxer Shannon Courtenay.

Jen says: “It was horrendous. I ended up on the floor and Shannon jumped on top of me, went right in on my ribs and punched me in the side.
“Unbeknown to me, I had broken two of my ribs, a bruised spleen and blood in my lung from when I jumped out of the helicopter. I couldn’t breathe.
‘‘At the time I was like, ‘Wow. That’s low. You’re a world champion boxer and you’re hitting a 40-year-old woman’.
“I wanted to rip her head off, but as soon as we got back to camp it was forgotten about. You’re only going to harm yourself if you keep up being angry. It’s wasted energy.”
