MATT Hancock was dealt a huge blow on last night's Celebrity SAS – before the first episode had even begun.
The controversial MP is among a new batch of famous faces being put through their paces by the staff on the Channel 4 selection process show.
Matt's appearance on the show will certainly ruffle feathers after being unfavourably received following his handling of the Covid-19 pandemic as the Health Secretary as well as for breaking lockdown rules that he enforced to partake in an extra-marital affair.
As the fifth series of the extremely tough show got underway last night, Channel 4 dealt Matt another brutal blow thanks to the station's announcer.
With the credits for The Great British Bake Off rolling, the announcer took time to introduce the new series of Celeb SAS coming up after the break.
But he managed to get a brutal snub in towards Matt in the process.
He said: "16 recruits in an inhospitable landscape next tonight though as the country's favourite stars and Matt Hancock all take part in Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins."
Commenting on the moment online, one fan was left thrilled at the intro as they said: "Bravo to the @Channel4 continuity announcer tonight."
Another added: "Give that guy a BAFTA."
A third penned: "Priceless!! This is brilliant! Actually LOL."

Matt is appearing on the latest edition of the show alongside a slew of famous faces.
Love Island favourites Teddy Soares and Montana Brown are both on the show as is footballer Jermaine Pennant, The Wanted singer Siva Kaneswaran and model Melinda Messenger.
We previously reported how Matt had become locked in a feud with his co-stars after he appeared to steal more rations to eat for himself during his time on the programme.
Model Danielle Lloyd said: “There were times when it came to the food and he would get like a big mass of food and take more than one portion.
As fellow recruit Perri Shakes-Drayton nodded in agreement, Danielle added: “I was fuming but didn’t say anything.”
Comic Zoe Lyons said: “There were times when I did look at his dish, and think, ‘Yeah, yeah.’
“Nobody ever mentioned it but over the course of the day, you do start to notice people’s traits.
“The food was awful. There was just enough to go around to everyone.
“There were no seconds, so if you’ve taken your seconds with your firsts, you know what I’m saying? There’s a reason why there were no seconds.”
It was a rough ride for Matt, with scenes set to show him pelted by insults and the first to take dressing down by the Directing Staff in the interrogation room.
The star was branded “a f***ing ostrich” and “a complete and utter buffoon.”

And, grilling Matt about his affair with an aide during lockdown, DS Chris Oliver yelled: “The rules that we had established as a country to follow, you think – you know what? I’m above this.
“You thought, f*** this – I’m going to have a bit of that. I’ll break the rules here, I’ll break the rules there.”
