The pair have have been clashing heads for a few weeks now after it was revealed that Leanne will give evidence against evil drug dealer Harvey in court.

Her choice will mean that she puts her family in danger and Gail isn't happy about it.

Next week things come to blows when her other son David puts pressure on his mum to let Nick see his son Sam.

Gail – played by Helen Worth since 1974 – becomes even more stressed after Nick tells sister Sarah that he's planning on selling his shares in the factory to support Leanne.

David tricks Gail into bringing Sam along to one of their meet-ups and they start to fight about how sneaky he's been.

During their blazing row the mum-of-three clutches at her chest in pain and falls to the floor.

And the news that Gail could potentially end up dying has made fans of the ITV soap flock to Twitter to plead with bosses not to kill her off.

One wrote: "@itvcorrie you can't kill off #Gail#HelenWorth is #CoronationStreet royalty #Corrie."

Another said: "Pray for Gail #Corrie #ThisMorning."

A third added: "S**T!!! Candles lit, and vigil underway. #PrayForGail #Corrie."
