CORONATION Street fans are overjoyed as it was revealed that Cobbles legend Roy Cropper will return at Xmas following his shock exit.
The Roy’s Rolls boss was last seen heading to South America, after signing over everything he owned to his niece Nina.
But actor David Neilson, 72, has been seen back on set after hinting last week that the fan fave will not be coming back.
A TV insider said: “Fans were upset when they thought Roy had left but he’s not going anywhere. David took a couple of weeks off but will be on screen again in a few weeks. Viewers are going to get quite a shock and he’s set to be part of a dramatic storyline.”
Roy had been struggling to come to terms with the fact that the gun Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) obtained to shoot Corey Brent (Maximus Evans) was the same used to kill Natasha Blakeman (Rachel Leskovac).
Abi was stopped from shooting Corey by Roy, who ended up covering for her. Nina then failed to convince him to stay

The McDonald family arrived on the Corrie cobbles back in 1989. Since then most of them have come and gone (and come back again), but one member of the family is still a permanent fixture on the Street.
Jim McDonald – Jim is played by Charles Lawson and made his first appearance on Coronation Street with the rest of the McDonald family in October 1989.
Liz McDonald – Actress Beverley Callard made her first appearance in Corrie in 1984 as Brian Tilsley's friend..
Steve McDonald – Steve is the longest running McDonald charcter in Corrie. He is played by Steve Gregson, and he joined the soap like the rest of the family in 1989.
Andy McDonald – Andy played by Nicholas Cochrane is Steve's twin – although in real life the actor and his on-screen brother Simon were actually a year apart.

Inside Emmerdale actress Daisy Campbell’s luxury holiday
Best known for playing village schoolgirl Amelia Spencer, the teenager looked stunning in a series of bikini snaps during her luxury break.
Daisy, 18, announced her arrival in Dubai with pictures of herself in a black string bikini, posing with the city's distinctive skyline behind her.
She captioned the set of photos with the words: "location says it all".
Next up it was an animal-print number which again showed off her toned abs.
Taken as she'd stepped out of the cool blue waters, Daisy looked relaxed as she gazed directly at the camera.

Emmerdale fans on the connection between Meena & Manpreet
EMMERDALE viewers are convinced they’ve figured out a huge twist in the soap's leading storyline, after concerns have grown about Manpreet Sharma’s role in younger sister Meena Jutla’s killing rampage.
Fans have come to the conclusion they’ve worked out a shocking connection between the pair, and that they could be more than just sisters.
Emmerdale fans have claimed that Manpreet could actually be in denial about something so huge, it could’ve been the cause of Meena’s issues.
The theory is one that many fans seem to be in agreement on, all taking to Twitter and Facebook to discuss the huge plot twist.
One fan wrote on Facebook: “Does anyone think Manpreet could be her mother [and] not her sister… that's why she can't do rejection. And maybe Meena knows… just a thought.“
Although Manpreet is currently married to Rishi Sharma, she only recently married him and only arrived in the Dales back in 2018 – so it’s entirely possible the theory could be true.
One fan contested the theory, writing “can’t be her daughter!”, but another pointed out that “Rishi is Manpreet's latest husband, only been together a couple of years…”.

"Steph pretty much forced me to be fair. I hope I’m entertaining people in there in a different way to the way Aaron’s entertained people."
Speaking about his stint in camp he said: "I'm hoping at this point I'm still in the castle in Wales on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! which nobody knows about.

Where is Corrie's Todd?!
CORONATION Street fans are in an uproar over Todd Grimshaw’s whereabouts – after spending three months away from the soap without any explanation.

He came back to the famous cobblestone streets with only one thing in mind – winning back Billy Mayhew.

Noting his anniversary on the soap in August, Gareth uploaded a selfie outside the Salford-based set with the caption: “Exactly one year since I started on Coronation Street.”
Doting fans gushed over the milestone, with one questioning: “Only a year? Wow.
“Seems like you’ve been there for much longer – I love your character.”

Rose Ayling-Ellis is the overwhelming favourite to win Strictly Come Dancing, with bookmaker Coral pricing her at 1-5 to win the series as the show heads towards the semi-finals this weekend.

“Rose has dazzled on the dancefloor throughout the whole of this series of Strictly Come Dancing and we think she is almost guaranteed to be the winner now. It would be a huge upset if she did not lift the Glitterball Trophy this December,” said Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead.
