Coronation Street spoilers: Max Turner gets a girlfriend after Amy spiking

WEATHERFIELD troublemaker Max Turner is being pushed back onto the straight and narrow.

Next week in Coronation Street, the teenager even gets a new love interest.



Could life in the cobbles finally be looking up for Max Turner (portrayed by Paddy Bever)?

Over the past few months, the troubled teen has been wreaking havoc in the Street, from upskirting classmate Summer Spellman to trying to drug Daniel Osbourne – and spiking Amy Barlow by mistake in the process.

But after a near-death experience and a trip to hospital, Max was expelled from school and his father David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) is doing all that he can to set him straight.

This included enrolling his adoptive son in a new school where he apparently fits right in as he's set to get a new girlfriend.

Coming up, Max offers to help his school friend Sonya with her media studies homework.

The pair exchange a few messages and, eventually, Sony agrees to go on a date.

Max grins at his screen while David and his wife Shona (Julia Goulding) watch on, amused.

In later scenes, Max cooks a surprise dinner for David and Shona and admits he's practising as he is hoping to impress his new girlfriend.

However, he could meet several obstacles along the way.

As mentioned above, Max has landed himself into plenty of trouble in recent episodes of the ITV soap, particularly after accidentally spiking Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney).

In February, 2022, Max intended to drug Weatherfield High teacher Daniel Osbourne, with whom he has had an ongoing feud, but spiked Amy by mistake.

Amy was taken to hospital and remained traumatised after the incident.

But Max only came clean in recent weeks after Daniel blackmailed him.

Daniel had had enough of Max's antics and wanted him to face the consequences of his actions after he had sabotaged Nicky Wheatley's chances in Weatherfield.

Amy was shocked to find out Max was responsible for her spiking but could she warn Sonya away from Max to get revenge?
