Coronation Street spoilers: Pat Phelan kidnapped and tortured by Gary Windass as he is dragged back to Weatherfield

Gary Windass makes a terrible decision in dramatic late-night episodes of Coronation Street set to air on ITV next week as he kidnaps evil builder Pat Phelan after tracking him down to a caravan park in Wales.

After tracking the murderer down and breaking into his caravan a fight kicks off between Gary, played by Mikey North in the ITV soap, Phelan and Gary’s friend, Joe.

During the scuffle Joe manages to knock Phelan, played by British Soap Award Best Actor Nominee Connor McIntyre, unconscious and the lads drag him back to Weatherfield, tying him up and leaving him in the storeroom at the builder’s yard.

Later Gary’s girlfriend Sarah Platt is – understandably – horrified when she discovers a bound, gagged and unconscious Phelan locked in the storeroom.

She’s livid with Gary for his actions, pointing out that could end up in prison for assaulting and kidnapping Phelan, instead of just doing the sensible thing and calling the police when he realised he was alive.

Meanwhile, in the storeroom Phelan regains consciousness – and is really not happy to find himself tied and gagged.

His luck’s in though as young Jack Webster lets himself into the builder’s yard and finds the villain tied up. Pat urges the youngster to find some scissors and cut him free.

He has to resort to bribery in the end, offering the little lad a tenner to get him out of his binds, but Gary and Sarah return in the nick of time and find Jack struggling to free the twisted builder.

They send Jack on his way and make him promise not to tell anyone what he’s seen.

But when Gary snaps and gives the killer a vicious kicking, Phelan suddenly rears up and throws a chair at Gary before barging his way into the builder’s yard where he pulls out a gun.

Phelan – incandescent with rage – then ties up Gary and Sarah before heading to Coronation Street, brandishing the shooter.
