Coronation Street: Adam exposes lying pregnant wife Sarah at gender reveal party
Coronation Street’s Cassandra Plummer (Claire Sweeney) could end up pulling Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) into her web of lies and drug use as she meets the recovering addict for the first time.
Returning to Weatherfield after Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) desperately tried to get Cassie off of drugs, she revealed to Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) that she was his mother.
Furious he had been kept in the dark his whole life, Tyrone didn’t want anything to do with the pair of them.
However, in recent scenes, Tyrone decided that he needed to get to know Cassie for his own good and would make his own judgements of her.
His decision could end up splitting his family apart and leaving Abi in a vulnerable position as they meet for the first time, with Cassie left reeling.

During Friday night’s episode, Cassie revealed that after Tyrone’s birth, she had moved to South Africa with a boyfriend who turned out to be very controlling and prevented her from contacting her family back in the UK.
She added that she had become a “total mess” but it was mostly down to her mother Evelyn and their fractured relationship.
Cassie revealed she had started drinking by the time she was 12, and was already on drugs at 15, putting it down to being a shy child growing up around arguing parents.
Tyrone was also left stunned when Cassie revealed that Evelyn had blamed her for her father’s brain haemorrhage, claiming that it was the stress she had caused him.
Despite getting along, Tyrone was still struggling to get his head around why she abandoned him and revealed that Evelyn had lied to him about her not wanting him.
Cassie had soon won him over and was soon moving in together in a bid to get to know one another better.
Evelyn was horrified that Cassie would be under the same roof as Hope Dobbs (Isabella Flanagan) and Ruby Dobbs (Billie Naylor), but Tyrone assured her that they were heading off to Norwich to see their mum Fiz Dobbs (Jennie McAlpine).
Feeling like she could keep an eye on them, Tyrone revealed that she wasn’t welcome in their home and needed to make a decision about his mother for himself.
Later, Evelyn explained to Roy Cropper (David Neilson) that she suspected Cassie was still using drugs, and that she would take advantage of Tyrone’s kindness.
It soon became clear that Evelyn’s suspicions were correct, as Cassie reached into her bag while trying to keep the contents hidden from Tyrone.
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
