Coronation Street's Georgia Taylor splits from partner Mark after 14 years together | The Sun

CORONATION Street star Georgia Taylor has split from her partner of 14 years.

The actress, 42, and fellow actor Mark Letheren secretly called it quits last year and no longer live together in the family home.


A source told The Sun: "The split was in July 2022 and they have both moved out of the home they shared. "

Mark, best known for playing Simon Kitson in The Bill, alluded to the break up with Georgia, 42, in a heart-breaking post at the end of 2022.

The 51-year-old shared: “It’s been the worst year after a number of increasingly s**t years. My life finally fell apart.

“Thankfully,I’m incredibly lucky and have a family who have picked up the pieces and are trying to help me re-build myself.

He revealed he moved to Cornwall “a few months ago” from Bristol, where he previously lived with Georgia.

Georgia, who is best known for playing Toyah in the ITV soap, has not posted about Mark on social media for over two years.

Mark, who is an avid photographer, last shared an image of her during a holiday to Madiera in June of last year.

Georgia and Mark met and fell in love when they both starred in Casualty together back in 2008.

Mark played Ben Harding on Casualty, while Georgia played Ruth Winters.

They set up home together in Bristol and Georgia usually commutes to work in Manchester every day.

Georgia joined Corrie in 1997 and stayed until 2003. She returned again in 2016 and has remained on the soap ever since.

Georgia has recently spoken of how she met her long-term partner while appearing on ITV's Lorraine.

The Scottish host said: "We saw you in Law and Order, we saw you in Blackpool, and of course we saw you in Casualty, so many other things that you did. I mean it’s great to have you back and I love the fact that in Casualty, you know you always make friends on set, that’s where you met your husband, which is rather lovely. The two of you being in sort of the same job, it’s really nice that."

Georgia corrected her as she replied: "Yeah, we’re actually not married but we practically are because we’ve been together so long."

Lorraine quickly apologised, saying: "Oh I’m so sorry! I keep doing this!"

The soap star said: "That’s okay. We met, he was a sort of semi-regular character, he was playing a councillor ironically, which is then what Toyah ended up doing. We met, gosh 13 years ago. So yeah, got him out of the job and lots of friends and it was a really good time."
