Coronation Street: Carla Connor fires Stephen Reid
Coronation Street villain Stephen Reid (played by Todd Boyce) could be set to be caught out in upcoming scenes after the new Underworld Owner looks into the financial accounts.
Official spoilers reveal Stephen glances wistfully at Jenny Connor (Sally-Ann Matthews), before transferring £480 from Underworld to a private account in the name of Seagull Ltd to pay the next instalment of the life insurance policy.
When Carla Connor (Alison King) tells him Owen Longford (Ben Hull) is demanding to see the company accounts, Stephen masks his anxiety.
There is a chance Stephen will finally be caught out but how will he feel knowing Owen could be the one to foil his master plan?
Since his arrival in Weatherfield, Owen has already gotten on the bad side of Stephen which is never a good idea for any resident.
After months of drugging Carla with LSD to make her believe she was spiralling into another psychotic episode, Stephen has finally been able to take over the Underworld factory.
However, his plan backfired after Owen came into the picture and decided to buy Carla’s shares after she announced she was taking a step back for her mental health.
Making things worse for Stephen, Owen has taken an interest in Jenny, the woman Stephen has been obsessed with since his arrival in Weatherfield.
In recent scenes, Stephen attempted to split Owen and Jenny apart, but after finding out about his lies Owen confronted Stephen.

As Stephen managed to pull a plausible reason as to why he lied, Owen told him that once he takes over the factory, he’s fired.
Trying his best to dig himself out of the hole he has found himself in, Stephen asks Elaine Jones (Paula Wilcox) if they can remortgage the flat so he can buy Carla’s shares.
Elaine spelt out she will never invest a penny in the factory and they should simply enjoy their retirement.
Stephen masks his fury but will he take his anger out on Elaine or Owen?
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
