Coronation Street’s Yasmeen collapse, Johnny death fears and Leanne tragedy

Coronation Street spoilers have predicted three nights of chaos next week, with unrequited declarations of love and gang crime on the horizon.

For starters, Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley) is violently beaten by a fellow prisoner when his medication is mistaken for hard drugs, leaving him a broken man.

Elsewhere, Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) is rushed to hospital when she is found collapsed on the floor of her home, clutching her chest in pain.

Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) faces similar hardship when she learns her teenage son Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) is dealing drugs in order to put food on their table.

Meanwhile, things are moving too fast for Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher), as she starts making excuses to avoid spending time with her new girlfriend Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey).

Below are the most shocking Corrie spoilers of the week – don’t miss an episode.

Leanne’s cocaine horror

Simon tries his best to encourage young Sam to keep quiet about the drugs, but Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) quickly realises something is bothering his son.

When Jacob shows up at the cafe and Sam reacts in terror, Nick gets the truth out of the schoolboy, learning what happened.

Nick rails against Simon and orders him to stay away from Sam, as the teen tries to assure Leanne it had been nothing but a prank.

However, when Leanne confronts Simon with the bags of cocaine she found, he rages at her and points out someone in the house needs to earn an income.

Leanne tries to go to the police, but Simon reminds her his life would be in danger if he grasses up his boss.

Unsure what to do, Leanne asks Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) for advice, but is rattled when she returns home and sees Jacob in the flat.

The teens count their drug money at the kitchen table, and Jacob makes a cruel remark about Leanne’s late son Ollie.

Desperate, Leanne goes to Carla Connor (Alison King) for help, who assures her she will deal with Jacob herself.

Can Carla successfully intervene and save Simon from a life of crime?

Nina and Asha are on the rocks

Asha tries to invite herself along to go bat-watching with Nina and Roy Cropper (David Neilson) but is rebuffed.

Convinced Nina has gone off her already, Asha tries to communicate with her, only for her girlfriend to insist it's healthy to have separate hobbies.

However, when Asha invites Nina to her dad Dev Alahan's birthday party, she claims she can't come because she has to work.

Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) learns Nina offered to work the shift at the cafe to avoid the party and demands to know the truth.

Nina confesses she feels things are moving too quickly, and it might be too soon to attend family parties as a couple.

When Aadi and Nina arrive at the party, Asha is thrilled, and Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) makes a speech, welcoming her girlfriend to the family.

Later, Asha tells Nina she loves her, putting her true feelings on the table.

Does Nina feel the same way, or has she got cold feet?

Johnny's health battles mount

Mistaking Johnny's MS medication for hard drugs, fellow prisoner Kai is convinced he is trying to take over his own prison dealing empire.

Gary Windass (Mikey North) attempts to defend Johnny, but Kai is stubborn and sets himself upon the former barman, beating him up.

Later, when Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) comes to visit her husband behind bars, she is horrified to see the state he is in.

Johnny then confesses he hasn't been taking his medication, revealing he likes the hallucinations as they allow him to see his late son Aidan.

Devastated by the revelation, Jenny tells Carla everything, as Johnny's daughter vows to make her dad start taking his medication and turn his condition around.

Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan Evans) insists Johnny isn't worth the energy they are investing in him and sets about arranging a date for her step mum.

Jenny holds her own, and orders Daisy to show some respect for her husband, refusing to move on from Johnny.

When Johnny calls Jenny and reveals he still hasn't taken his medication, his wife begs him to change his mind and follow the doctor's orders.

As Jenny issues an impassioned plea, will it be enough for Johnny to have a change of heart, or will he continue down this path of destruction?

Yasmeen's hospital trauma

Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) decides he wants to transfer all of Geoff's assets into Yasmeen's name, determined to right his father's wrongs.

Meanwhile, Alya busies herself by chucking Geoff's belongings out of the house, hoping to rid his presence from Yasmeen's life.

She then tells Yasmeen that, with the sale of the community centre and Geoff's funds, they will be able to clear her debt for good.

Unfortunately, as soon as Yasmeen opens a County Court Judgement, her unease is visible, the worry getting to her.

Tim appears at Speed Daal, presenting the documentation to officiate the transfer of assets into Yasmeen's name.

However, upon his arrival, Yasmeen starts to panic and flees the restaurant, convinced she's about to be sent to prison.

She locks herself inside the house, and suddenly feels a shooting pain in her chest, falling to the ground as she fights to breathe.

When Tim and Alya find her inside, they are horrified and rush Yasmeen to the hospital for emergency medical attention.

Watching her nan inside the ward, Alya grows emotional, realising she may never recover from the abuse inflicted by Geoff.

Can Alya help to turn her nan's life around, or will Geoff continue to haunt her?

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
