Coronation Street: Dramatic moment Stu is arrested
It looks as though there’s trouble ahead for one Coronation Street couple after Stu Carpenter (played by Bill Fellows) confesses all to partner Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King). It comes after he took drastic action to get his granddaughter Eliza Woodrow (Savannah Kunyo) back into his care.
Earlier this year, Eliza reconnected with her estranged father Dom Everett (Darren Morfit). However, it was clear Stu had his reservations about Dom, despite Eliza being thrilled to build a connection with her dad.
It wasn’t long before the child decided she wanted to live with Dom, leaving Stu crushed. Trying to do everything in his power to get her back home, he suggested to social services Dom was unfit to have Eliza.
When they were satisfied to see Dom was in fact a fit parent, Stu hired a private investigator to dig up some dirt he could use. After a few weeks, he learned Dom was done for dangerous driving while in Germany with his fiancée and son in the car.
On Wednesday night, Stu sat down with Dom and revealed he knew all about his secret family before suggesting he move back there permanently. To make the offer even more appealing, he told Dom he’d pay him £10,000 to stay away for good.

Although it looked as though Dom wasn’t going to accept, he showed up at Stu’s house later that evening with Eliza in tow.
Lying that he had to go abroad for work, he asked if Eliza could stay with them until Christmas Eve, unaware he wouldn’t be coming back.
However, it looks as though his desperate attempts to win back Eliza won’t go down well with Yasmeen.
Official spoilers for next week reveal that Stu finally admits to Yasmeen that it’s his fault Dom has disappeared.

Confessing he paid Dom £10,000 to leave, thinking it was in Eliza’s best interest, Yasmeen is horrified by his deceit.
Later on, she confides in Roy Cropper (David Neilson) about what Stu has been up to.
Sharing her upset, Yasmeen reveals that yet again, she’s fallen for a man who does nothing but lie to her.
Fans of the soap will remember it took a while for Yasmeen to fully trust and accept Stu into her life after her abusive relationship with cobble villain Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew).
After some time, Stu confides in Yasmeen and suggests telling Eliza the truth about what’s happened.
Although she’s still angry and upset, Yasmeen advises Stu not to tell his granddaughter what he’s done as he’s now the only family she has left.
Will Eliza find out the truth about why her father has vanished? And will Yasmeen be able to trust Stu ever again?
Coronation Street contimnues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV from 8pm.
