Coronation Street viewers were left baffled as they noticed that Harvey Gaskell didn't appear to be wet despite standing in a heavy downpour of rain.

Things took a dramatic turn for the worse on Monday night's programme after prisoner Harvey escaped from jail.

While being transported on the road by prison guards, Harvey's vehicle crashed into Dev Alahan's car that was parked on a quiet country road.

The unexpected crash gave him the perfect chance to escape but when he emerged from the police vehicle and stood in the rain, fans at home noticed that he didn't appear to be drenched.

Taking to Twitter, fans shared their thoughts.

One fan said: "Totally believable weather effects!"

Another chimed: "Is it me or was Harvey not getting very wet in all that rain?"

While a third penned: "Rain where you don’t get wet , who knew."

"Ummmm, why wasn't Harvey getting wet with that rain coming down?" A fourth questioned.
