Coronation Street fans were left utterly shocked at the jaw-dropping twist after vile stalker Justin Rutherford (played by Andrew Still) threw acid at Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) on her wedding day.
During Monday’s visit (March 27) to the ITV cobbles, fans were glued to their screens as they watched the loveable barmaid prepare to walk down the aisle to her fiancé Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard).
But things took a devastating turn for the worse after her assailant threw acid at her moments before she set off to the wedding venue.

Much to viewers surprise, Ryan jumped in between them and took most of the force of the blow to his face, leaving him screaming in pain as Daisy dragged him to the shower to wash his face.
After watching the harrowing scenes play out, fans were convinced that that the Irish newcomer would take things to shocking new levels as they flooded to Twitter online.
One user penned: "My heart was in my mouth when she was outside on her own. Thought Justin was going to kidnap her. #corrie."
Another gushed: "That was the most intense episode of #Corrie I've seen in a long time… the acting was fantastic tonight from @CharlieJordanxo, Ryan Prescott.
"We has the shock of the acid attack and we have the intense scene when Justin was arrested. Well done to @itvcorrie and the whole team."
A third chimed in with: "That really scared me poor Ryan, Justin's pure evil, Charlotte and Ryan I'm in floods of tears [crying emoji] #Corrie."
Meanwhile others were convinced Daisy's wedding day was too good to be true as many predicted Justin's return online.

One user boasted: "I knew I was right, I said there would be a twist in tonight's #Corrie and there was, Ryan getting acid thrown on him by Justin.
"Brilliant performances from @ryanprescott ! can't wait to see what's coming up."
Another agreed: "I knew it was going to be Ryan who was the victim. Either way, it should never have got that far. Major police failure. #corrie."
