Coronation Street's Stephen Reid star Todd Boyce has warned fans to “watch out” for Elaine Jones ahead of his character’s next big kill.
Over the past few weeks, fans of the ITV soap have been glued to their screens as the deranged serial killer continues to evade capture from the police.
Since he joined the soap last year, the businessman has taken the lives of two people on the Cobbles, father and son duo Leo Thompkins and Teddy Thompkins and his ‘business associate’ Rufus.

Now, in an exclusive interview with Daily Star at the British Soap Awards, the Canadian actor has lifted the lid on which character could be his next victim.
When asked which character is the next to meet an untimely death, Todd explained: “I wish I could say and, in fact, I don’t see anyone on the horizon in terms of who will go [next].”
But the TV star teased ITV fans when he told fans which star to keep an eye over the next few weeks, adding: “Watch out for Elaine because he’s got that life insurance out on her.”
The actor went on to add that when he first took on the killer role, he aimed to take more lives than Richard Hillman on the ITV soap.
He added: “At one point I was, I was trying to get the grandstands on telly, I want to be the one who’s killed the most but, in a sense, I think he’s an accidental killer.
“When he first killed Leo, it was actually scripted more for a scuffle for the phone and he went over but I decided, ‘let’s let Stephen have a little more to do with that’.”
But after a year on the soap, he decided to give up on aiming to be the most ruthless killer on the Cobbles and instead keeps himself in the dark on his character’s future storyline.
Todd went on: “We don’t work very far ahead so they could surprise me with [my next villain] at any time.
“I try not to ask questions ahead because I like to be in the moment and if I know what he’s going to do in two or three months' time I feel like it might stain what I'm doing, so I try to go week to week.”
It comes as Stephen Reid’s plans start to crumble as he desperately tries to keep his three murders under the radar.
The walls have been closing in on the businessman as he continues to try and pay the life insurance on his partner Elaine.
Stephen is still penniless and has been using the factory to make the payments on the life insurance, taking it from Underworld’s bank account and sending it to a private account in the name of Seagull Ltd.
And it appears as though Elaine isn’t the only character at risk after Todd looked at the other character’s watching him closely.

He added: “He’s got a few people who are getting on his nerves or making him nervous because they could jeopardise his future.
“He’s worked so hard and I think he’s come this far. He doesn’t want to have to have done all this in vain. He wants to have a nice life.”
