Denise van Outen, 48, has discussed how her breakup with Eddie Boxshall, 47, led way to her looking for a new Celebrity Gogglebox co-star.
Despite splitting with her man of eight years and facing doing the show alone, the TV host never considered quitting.
She replaced Eddie with her best mate, singer and actor Duncan James, 44, who has supported her throughout six of the worst months of her life.
Denise, said: “The big thing is we trust each other. I trust him and we respect each other as friends.
“For me, it’s those moments when things are not going so well in your life and there’s someone who reaches out to you to make sure you’re OK.
“Dunc’s always the first, he’s got the biggest heart. He’s always the person to reach out and go, ‘Are you all right? Can I do anything to help?’
“My New Year was a bit of a different one this year because of everything that’s been going on.
“So Duncan came over with his big hugs, which was lovely.
“He’s been a great support over the past few months, when I’ve really needed him.

“It also helps that he’s Dunc the hunk!
“All my girlfriends are jealous that I get to share the sofa with him. They’re like, ‘Oh, he’s so hot’.”
Duncan, 44, has agreed that the feeling is mutual.
He said: “Trust me, there’s not many in this industry who I’ve met, over my 20 years, that I actually really trust or I could pick up the phone to as a real friend.
“We get to meet so many people in this industry — so many celeb mates and stuff — but to say that you’ve got a genuine mate, for me that’s far and few.
“Denise is one of those people to me. I know I can trust her and that’s one of the most important things, plus she knows she can trust me.
“That is really important because this industry can be a bit of a nightmare sometimes.”
